In-Character (IC) Rules

Realism: Maintain a level of realism that fits within the medieval fantasy genre. Avoid modern references, slang, and technology.
-
Character Integrity: Stick to your character’s personality, background, and motivations. Actions must be consistent with your character’s nature.
-
Language and Speech: Use appropriate medieval language when speaking in-character (IC). While not everyone needs to speak in Elizabethan English, avoid contemporary language and slang.
-
Interaction: Be respectful to other players' characters. Do not force interactions or plotlines on others. Always ask for consent before engaging with another character.
-
Role-Play Consent: Always ask for permission before affecting another player’s character in any way (e.g., touching, attacking, imprisoning). This prevents godmodding.
-
Character Development: Use your RP time to build your character’s story and relationships. Personal growth and change should be gradual.

RP Combat and Injury: Combat must be agreed upon by both players. Describe actions and allow the other player to respond. No "god-modding" (taking control of others' actions or invincibility).

Presence in Roleplay
-
Entering a Scene: Players must actively post into a scene to be considered present. By posting, you consent to participating in the RP.
-
Observing Only (OOC): If a player does not post in a scene, it is assumed they are not there IC (In-Character) and are merely observing OOC (Out of Character).
-
Awareness in RP: You cannot roleplay your character witnessing or overhearing actions or dialogue IC if you have not established your presence in the scene through posting.
-
Consistent Participation: To remain present in a scene, players must engage consistently. Posting once and then remaining silent (e.g., lurking without further interaction) is not a valid way to participate in RP.
-
Character Identity Rules: All GPHUDs must display a character's "name" or "nickname" that reflects their true identity. Roleplayers have the right to know OOC the name of the characters they are interacting with, even if an IC disguise is being used.

-
Appeals: Players who believe they have been unjustly penalized may appeal by opening a ticket on Discord or contacting any of the Owners.
